This year’s big autumn show, Dive 2009, will be taking place at the NEC in Birmingham on 24/25 October. With more than 300 exhibitors taking part – plus a wealth of in-hall features and top diving speakers – whether you're a beginner or seasoned pro, tekkie, wreckie or fish-fancier, there will be plenty to inform and excite. In addition to the latest dive kit and leisurewear to try and buy, there will be representatives from more than 50 top diving destinations, who will help visitors reach a decision about their next trip.
Underwater photographers can attend the show's Digital Clinic for a useful exchange of views and tips. Elsewhere, visitors can take a break from walking the halls in the presentation theatres where top marine-life and wreck gurus have been lined up to share news and images of their often-extreme activities. Already on the programme are shark diver Mark Addison, Sea Shepherd’s Captain Paul Watson, BBC Oceans' Paul Rose, film-maker John Boyle, and wreck experts Teresa Telus, Innes McCartney and David Mearns.
With two diving pools, Sharks In Focus gallery, and themed areas including the Caribbean Village, Asia-Pacific Showcase, PADI Village and British Isles Experience, Dive 2009 is set to be the highlight of the diving season.
