SAA Qualifications

Club Diving Officers' are authorised to issue equivalent certificates to trained divers crossing over from another training organisation once they have verified that the relevant lectures have been received up to the standard awarded. The Club Crossover Guide is for reference, however, the final decision lies with the Club Diving Officer

Instructor Grades

Instructor Grade crossovers can only be awarded at the discretion of the National Diving Officer.

Skill Courses

Skill Course crossovers can only be awarded at the discretion of the Skill Course Co-ordinator

Each application for the crossing over of other agencies' skill courses is assessed on an individual basis. With the expansion of courses from other training agencies, the SAA is currently reviewing the equivalency of the most common mainstream qualifications with a view to publishing a crossover guidance matrix for skills courses in the near future.

In the meantime applicants for skills course crossovers should seek guidance from the relevant SAA National Coordinator via SAA Head Office
